Flustered by the drivel that passes for 'great' art?

Baffled about how to respond? Don't give up. Read regularly WHAT THE HECK IS ART? and fight back!

The Art Renewal Center

Lost in the gutter of Cubism, Modernism, Post-modernism, Expressionism, Dadaism and other rubbishisms? Find real art at the ARC.

False Gods

They can't draw or paint or create a half-decent artwork but are worshiped by the art establishment as Gods. We prefer to remain infidels and refuse to kowtow to the False Gods of Art.

How the culture-vultures impoverished my soul

One expects art to ennoble our souls, much like a novel by Victor Hugo or a film by Bimal Roy. Instead, stepping into a gallery is like stepping on shit -bullshit.

Critiquing the critics

We smack down these smug bastards and their idiotic art-jargonese con mucho gusto!

Pissing on art is art too

From the 'Is this art?' file-

A San Diego mural by Barry McGee

“I think it’s awful, it’s an ugly eyesore,” complains a San Diego resident of a commissioned mural by Barry McGee directly across from City Hall. Looks like the controversy will never end when it comes to the debate between “graffiti and art”

We have a perfect response to this masquerade preening as art -fight art with art.
Hot, sizzling, performance art-

Which we in India do so well. No American hippie graffiti artist can stand up to it.

Calle San Pedro, Osuna watercolor by José González Bueno

Calle San Pedro, Osuna
53 x 67(inches?)

José González Bueno

According to his site, he is "totally self-taught, studying closely the technique of the British masters of the 19th century, primarily the Victorian period between 1850 and 1900. I have focused as well on Vienesse watercolours of the same period, and Orientalists in general. "

That sounds a bit like myself.

Do have look around his site. There are some lovely images.
